China Southern Airlines is the biggest airline of China and it operates quite a number of widebody aircraft of several types: the Airbus A330, A350 and A380, and the Boeing 747-400F, 777 and 787. Of the A330 it acquired 50 aircraft, a mix of 16 A330-200s and 34 A330-300s. In 2021, forty of them are still in service. The airliner received its first A330-200s in 2005.

Airbus delivered A330-200 MSN 1096 in March 1010 as B-6135.
