Airbus A340-300 (A340-313) - Air Mauritius - 3B-NBD (MSN 194) - Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) - April 2018.

Mauritius is a small paradise-like tropical island in the Indian Ocean about 800 km east of Madagascar. It is famous for its white beaches, clear sea water, mountains and tropical forests. Air Mauritius was founded in 1967 and began airline operations in 1972 with a Piper Navajo. Air Mauritius offered flights to destinations in Europe, Africa en Asia, but because of the corona pandemic it stopped almost all of its services. Its future is unclear.

The airline operated widebody airliners like the Boeing 747SP, the Boeing 767 and the Airbus A330, A340 and A350. When the corona pandemic began, its A340-300s were in the process of being replaced with A350s.

From 1994 through 2020, Air Mauritius used a total of nine different Airbus A340-300s. MSN 94 was delivered to the airline in October 1997 as 3B-NBD and it was stored in October 2020.
