Boeing 747-200M (747-21AC(M)) - Martinair Cargo (The Netherlands) - PH-MCE (MSN 23652) - Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) - March 2006.

Martinair was founded in 1958 as Martin's Air Charter, by the Dutch aviation entrepreneur Martin Schröder. In 1966 the airline's name was changed to Martinair Holland, but the word 'Holland' was dropped in 1991. During many years, the airline flew mainly tourists to holiday destinations in the summer and cargo during the winter periods. For this purpose the fleet included some combi aircraft, including the Boeing 747 on the picture. Today it is a cargo-only airline and a subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Widebody aircraft types in the Martinair fleet during the years were the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and MD-11, the Airbus A310, the Boeing 767 and the Boeing 747. Martinair acquired seven 747s of several versions. It also used two KLM 747s for some time.

Boeing 747-200M Combi MSN 23625 (Line Number 669) was delivered to Martinair Holland in Februari 1987. In May 2007, the aircraft was taken over by the Spanish airline Girjet. Later users were Rayyan Air (Pakistan) and Aerospace One (Greece). The aircraft was withdrawn from use in 2014. See the same aircraft here.
