Boeing delivered 747-200M MSN 23508 (Line Number 657) to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in October 1986 as PH-BUW. The aircraft was withdrawn from use in April 2003 and stored in the Mojave desert. In February 2004, it entered service with Surinam Airways as PZ-TCM and it became the only 747 this airline operated. The aircraft was stored in early 2010 and replace by an Airbus A340.
