Uzbekistan Airways is the national airline of Uzbekistan. It was formed in January 1992 and took over the network and fleet of the Uzbekistan division of Aeroflot. The airline's homebase is Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. Uzbekistan Airways became a widebody operator in 1993, when it acquired its first Airbus A310s. Later it also operated Airbus A300-600F freighters and today the widebody part of the fleet comprises the Boeing 767 and the 787 Dreamliner.

The airline acquired a total of fourteen Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, of which nine are still in service, including one aircraft operated on behalf of the Uzbekistan government. The first 767 joined the fleet in November 1996.

Boeing delivered 767-300ER MSN 33469 (Line Number 904) to Uzbekistan Airways as VP-BUE in October 2003. In 2015 the aircraft was re-registered UK67007.
