Lockheed L-1011 TriStar AirOps/Ecu Air

Lockheed L-1011 TriStar Ecu Air / Air Ops

Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 50 (L-1011-385-1) - AirOps / Ecu Air - SE-DPX (MSN: 193B-1091) - Miami International Airport (MIA) - 1994.

The Swedish airline AirOps (Air Operations of Europe) was founded in 1993 and ceased operations in 1996. AirOps operated a total of nine TriStars, mostly L-1011-1s. Lockheed delivered MSN 193B-1091 as a TriStar-1 to TWA (Trans World Airlines) in December 1974 as N31024. In April 1993, it was taken over by Hawaiian Airlines and a year later, in April 1994, it joined the fleet of AirOps as SE-DPX. The aircraft was subsequently leased to Ecu Air until January 1995. In April 1996, the aircraft was withdrawn from use, but in May 1996, it was taken over by Nordic East Airways, later this year renamed Nordic European Airlines. On the photograph, the aircraft is still wearing the Hawaiian Airlines colour scheme.
