Airbus A310 - Holiday Airlines

Holiday Airlines was a Turkish charter airline that existed only three years, from 1994 until 1996. The airline started flying in 1994 with Airbus A320s and also flew an A310 during the summer season, from June through November. In 1995 three Airbus A300s joined the fleet and in 1996 another two. In the last year of its existence Holiday also operated a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar.

After the crash in early 1996 of a Boeing 757 of another Turkish charter airline, Birgenair, near the Dominican Republic, Holiday was refused to fly to German airports and in November 1996 ceased flying.

The photograph shows the Holiday Airbus A310 departing from Düsseldorf International Airport in summer 1994..
