Airbus A330-200 - Air Berlin
The German airline Air Berlin is one of the three biggest European German low-cost carriers. It expanded fast by taking over other German airlines like DBA (formerly Deutsche BA), Germania and LTU. The expansions gave Air Berlin a big presence at Düsseldorf Airport, originally LTU's homebase.
LTU flies the Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 and after the takeover a number of LTU Airbus A330s is painted in the colours of Air Berlin, like the aircraft on the photograph. The photo of this A330-200 is taken during take-off from Düsseldorf.
