Airbus A330-200 - Air China
In 1988 the CAAC (Civil Aviation Adinistration of China) divided its operating divisions into six separate airlines and one of them was Air China. The airline became responsible for the country's intercontinental flights. Today Air China is a major Chinese airline and based at Beijing Capital International Airport.
Air China took over the CAAC's intercontinental fleet, including Boeing 747-200s, 747SPs, and Boeing 767s. CAAC Airbus A310s went to China Eastern Airlines. Today Air China operates quite a number of widebody aircraft, including the Airbus A330 and A340, and the Boeing 747-400, the 767 and the 777.
Air China flies thirty A330s: 24 A330-200s plus six of the -300 version. The first A330-200s were delivered in 2007, the first A330-300s in 2010. The large photo shows an A330-200 arriving at Air China's homebase, Beijing Capital Airport. On the photo below is an A330 in a special livery at Frankfurt Rhein/Main Airport.
