Northwest Airlines is the world's fourth largest airline. Apart from a large domestic network in the US, it flies extensive intercontinental services, especially to southeast Asia, where it is the biggest US carrier. Northwest is also the biggest cargo carrier of all passenger airlines. The airline was founded as Northwest Airways in 1926.

On its flights to Europe Northwest flies Airbus A330-300s. The aircraft on the picture is seen at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, where its partner KLM is based.
