Boeing 767-300 - Austrian Airlines
Austrian Airlines, the national airline of Austria, is a modest widebody operator with six Boeing 767-300s and four Boeing 777s in service. Until early 2007 the airline also operated the Airbus A330 and A340, but after giving up a number of long-haul services the Airbuses were phased out.
All six Boeing 767-300s were transferred from the fleet of Lauda Air, which was founded by Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda but is now wholly owned by Austrian Airlines and specializing in charters and scheduled flights to typical holiday resorts.
Some of the Austrian Airlines Boeing 767-300 aircraft are painted in Star Alliance colours. Both pictures are taken at Austrian's homebase Vienna Schwechat Airport.
