Boeing 767-300 - Thomas Cook Airlines

Thomas Cook Airlines is a British charter airline. Its homebase is Manchester (UK), but it operates from many other airports in Britain, like London-Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow and London-Stansted. The formation of the airline followed the merger between the tour operators Thomas Cook and MyTravel Group in June 2007. Thomas Cook Airlines was formed in March 2008 by the merger of Thomas Cook Airlines UK and MyTravel Airways.

In September 1999 the forerunner of Thomas Cook Airlines UK was formed as JMC by a merger of Flying Colours Airlines and Caledonian Airways. The name Thomas Cook Airlines UK was adopted in March 2003. MyTravel Airways was founded as Airtours International Airways in 1990 and in 1993 it acquired Inter European Airways and in 1996 the Scandinavian charter airline Premiair. The name MyTravel was chosen in 2002.

Other airlines in today's Thomas Cook Group are Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium and the German airline Condor. Part of the fleet is a number of Boeing 767-300ER and Airbus A330-200 widebody airliners. The photograph shows a Boeing 767 taking off from Manchester Airport. The airline flies three of the type.
