Lockheed L-1011 TriStar - LTU

LTU is a German charter airline, which operated the Lockheed TriStar from 1973 until they were replaced by McDonnell Douglas MD-11s in 1994-1996. The red roofs of these aircraft were a common sight at LTU's homebase Düsseldorf International.

LTU operated a total of thirteen TriStars, mostly standard versions, but also a number of short-fuselage long-range L1011-500 aircraft. The picture shows several LTU TriStars at Düsseldorf.
