Delta Air Lines was the second airline to put the Boeing 767 into service, after United Airlines. It also became one of the biggest operators of the aircraft type. The airline took delivery of 124 767s, including 767-200s, -300s and -400s. Delta received its first 767, a 767-200, in October 1982. This aircraft, N102DA (MSN 22214, Line Number 12) was baptised 'The Spirit of Delta' and since 2006, it is preserved by the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta. Delta received its first 767-300 in November 1986. It took delivery of 88 767-300s. Around 40 767-300s are still in service in 2022.
Boeing 767-300ER MSN 30596 (Line Number 795) was delivered to Delta Air Lines in May 2000. The aircraft was stored in 2020.
