Boeing 767-300ER (767-3Z9(ER)) - Austrian Airlines - OE-LAX (MSN 27095) - Vienna Schwechat Airport (VIE) - August 2007.

Austrian Airlines, the national airline of Austria, is a modest widebody operator. Its first widebody aircraft type was the Airbus A310, later followed by the A330 and A340. Austrian took over its competitor Lauda Air step by step in the period 1997-2002. In the following years, Lauda aircraft became part of the fleet of Austrian Airlines: six Boeing 767-300ERs and three 777-200ERs. This meant that the Airbuses were phased out. Later, three more 777s were added. The airline currently (1922) operates three of the 767-300ERs and all six 777-200ERs.

Boeing 767-300ER MSN 27095 (Line Number 467) was delivered to Lauda Air in December 1992 as OE-LAX. It was operated by subsidiary Lauda Italy from November 1999 until June 2003 and then returned to the mother airline in Austria. In April 2007, the aircraft became part of the fleet of Austrian Airlines, and it was withdrawn from use in March 2021. Two months later, it was taken ofer by US cargo operator Kalitta Air for spares.
